To The Father Of My Children

To the father of my children, I would like to say:

How thankful I am that you desire a close walk with God.
How thankful I am that you love to play with our children.
How thankful I am that you care for me and give them such an example of unselfish love.
How thankful I am that you lead our family in gentleness.
How thankful I am that you take our emotions and thoughts seriously.
How thankful I am that you are man enough to apologize when you are wrong.
How thankful I am that you take in stride a life full of diapers, toys, messy rooms and loud, giggling children.
How thankful I am that you patiently love a very imperfect wife and imperfect children and therefore show us and teach us the love of God in our lives.
How thankful I am that you spend time with your children.
How thankful I am that you always seek to improve in your role as a father.
How thankful I am that I am yours and you are mine.

Happy Father’s Day Jimmy. I love you!
